Dan Blank’s movie “Shadowplay” was a sad and poignant look at the bombing of Hiroshima. The storyline itself was very moving and served as a perfect platform to create a short work. His creative use of the “shadows” from Hiroshima as becoming characters was unbelieveable. Not only that, but his use of animation, art, and music helped to create a wonderful piece. I was amazed at how well it was all done and I think he is a very creative and talented person that can really capture and move the viewer’s attention on a particular subject.
